Scenic Strokes Canoe & Kayak Rental is situated directly on the New River outside of Blacksburg, Virginia. The New River is actually one of the oldest rivers in the world. Along with the Nile River it is the only other river that flows north. Not only is it steeped in history, but it is rich in wildlife. Many different species of birds, fish, and wild flowers populate the environment. We provide access to this incredible landscape, through canoeing and kayaking, along with all the essentials needed, for a good time. Camping along with other activities can be arranged at our main office at New River Junction.
